Recycling Pirates

The petition

Recycling not only promotes a more respectful populace within the community, but also helps to form a sense of "team" within. Our environment is not capable of protecting itself from our idle wastefulness. Therefore, as the intelligent beings we claim to be, it is our duty to aid the environment in remaining beautiful and abundant with life. By launching such an idea, as I am about to do, we, as a team, may learn to respect our world, and by doing so teach the younger generations that same respect. I propose that we, the members of PHS, take necessary actions in promoting a recycling program within our own school system. In doing so, it is of my opinion, that we place recycling bins for plastics and aluminums adjacent to each trash can on our campus. It is also a strong opinion of mine that we should place recycling bins for paper materials throughout the school campus buildings and classrooms in order to help preserve our environment.
