Name: David Gatz on Aug 6, 2004State: OHCountry: USComments: Mr. Tancredo's presidential candidacy would bring the issue of immigration reform to national television virtuallly every night during the election season. That in turn would encourage the populace to take up the issues presented in Samuel P. Huntington's Who Are We Mr. Tancredo is still nearly unheard of outside of the core of immigration reform proponents. A friend of mine works in Washington D.C for the government and holds a Ph.D. in history-- I had to tell her who Mr. Tancredo was as recently as last year.Flag

Name: Timothy Petrie on Aug 7, 2004State: NJCountry: USComments: I am a registered Republican in New Jersey who is disgusted that many members of our government continue to put political pandering above national security even after September 11th. I would write-in Tom Tancredo but it is my understanding that a declaration of intent must be signed by a candidate for his or her write-in votes to be counted. Please tell me if you know if this is the case. If large numbers of votes are listed simply as write-ins as opposed to votes for Tom Tancredo the message behind our votes might be lost on other politicians.Flag
