Comments: I wholeheartedly agree with the petition. It is a poor idea to secularize the name of the new school. Please listen to the parents and petitioners.

Comments: I have said since the release of the new name that they MYCS would seen as part of the mental/social rehab program and felt it would only serve to disgrace the school...I too feel that by not having a faith based name we are taking away from those beliefs that we feel are so truely important in raising our children in fait based education...I feel All Saints would encompass and unite our parishes

Comments: The name of the new school should reflect, first and foremost, our nature and mission as a Catholic institution. While I appreciate that the name may have been chosen with an aim of "neutrality", this should not outweigh our Catholic identity. The names proposed in this petition are examples of choices that would more appropriately balance these interests.

Comments: mon yough if a best known in the mckeesport area for Mon Yough Mental Health. Ridiculous. you must keep this in the faith in a time where the christian faith is so under attack. please make this a representation of all those before us who represented the faith in such a dedicated manner. I am a devout Catholic Walter Edward Michael Sullinger

Comments: I do not like the chosen school name for the St. Joseph and St. Angela School merger - Mon Yough Catholic. It is not representative of a catholic school as was cited in the petition. Please consider giving our school a more appropriate CATHOLIC school name. Thank you.

Comments: I have to agree with this statement whole-heartedly. As a parent of a student of this school and as a parishioner the first thing that came to my mind upon hearing the new name of the school was Mon-Yough social services. Not something I want associated with where my child attends school. I think that 'Our Lady of the Valley Academy' or 'St. Andrew's Academy' would be excellent choices.

Comments: This is too quick for the work to be done at St. Angela. There should have been a planning committee as well as presented to the parish by the diocese. This is going to impact our parish greatly! There must be more time for this to be done right!
