The voice of the people has been silenced in our federal politics. Our votes good only for the upkeep of the illusion of democracy.Our voice has been stripped form us and given too the electoral college in exchange. we the people have no say so in our own elections as it is the electorate that decides the president. Examples being: 1876, the people voted for Sam Tilden but the electorate elected Rutherford Hayes 1888: People voted for Grover Cleavland but the electorate elected Benjamin Harrisson and in 2000 when the people voted for Al Gore, but the electorate voted for George W. Bush. this is not democracy, it is the illusion of such and we are tired of it. We demand the disbanding of the electoral college and the return of our democracy to the people, those in which the power should always lie in a true democracy.
