Name: Kenneth Kruse on Feb 3, 2007Comments: Perry seems to be cut from the same cloth as W, they do what ever they feel like doing and the hell with what their constituants want. 93% of Texans didn't want toll roads, Perry says so what, I know what's best, and we get toll roads. Now Perry signs an executive order to require middle school aged girls to be vacinated for HPV, before the long term effects of the vacine are known. One of his cronies went to work as a lobbiest for the drug company that makes the vacine and gave Perry big re-election money. Now Perry wants to privatize the lottery, like he did our toll roads. RICK PERRY, THE BEST GOVERNOR CORPORATION'S MONEY CAN BUY!!!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Feb 6, 2007Comments: The "Lesser of the evils" turned out to be a horrible choice nonetheless...I am tired of the unaccountable politician. A message needs to be sent, reminding all elected leaders that the real power still lies in the hand's of the people.Flag

Name: Richard Shaw on Feb 7, 2007Comments: I will forever regret voting for the man because no one ever had any solid stance on the border. ANd now he is in bed with Merck over these HPV vaccinations. Its time for the people to take back the government. We've had enough of double-speaking politicians. It turns my stomach, and I am a conservative! The republicans think that they can with by leaving their base--they haven't got a clue.Flag

Name: Andrew Sellers on Feb 7, 2007Comments: Why can't we also sue him for false advertising, breach of contract and, disenfranchising our vote by making promises he never intended to keep. In any other business his lies and false advertising would have him in court faster than you can say - get a rope! I voted for this clown because he promised to close our borders and now all he is worried about is how much money he can make is friends in the drug companies!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Feb 7, 2007Comments: My vote was not for Perry it was a vote against Chris Bell. I stood in the booth several minutes telling myself he was the lesser of the evils before filling in the circle next to Perry's name. He will go down in history as the worst governor ever. There definitely is some funny business going on with him and the big corporations. Hopefully an investigation will be started on Perry soon. I bet he'll have former Illinois Gov. George Ryan looking like a saint. Lewisville,TXFlag

Name: Stephen Mcgee on Feb 16, 2007Comments: Gov. Perry is a typical politician and that is precisely what Texas doesn't need now. If and when Gov. Perry is recalled I will run for the office in order that the people of Texas may have a governor who is earnest, sincere, devout truly, full of love and knowledgable in vital matters. God bless Texas; indeed, but Texas bless God.Flag

Name: Stan Baggett on Feb 28, 2007Comments: Even though I am a conservative and normally vote Republican, I didn't vote for Perry in the last election. Now everyone is realizing what I already knew: Perry is a Bush-type globalist and an "empty suit" whose aspirations for higher political office have overridden his duty to the conservative constituency. He has betrayed the people of Texas!Flag

Name: H.L.Carrell on Jun 26, 2007Comments: Perry has also lied to the public about the TransTexasCorridor, which has the potential to destroy thousands of acres of valuable farmland and Central Texas Hill Country which brings in huge amounts of tourist dollars. He has manipulated the legislature into adding further provisions which will create vast profits for a private corporation on Texas roadways into the far future, with this all supported by taxes and toll revenues from citizens with absolutely no input. Perry threatened the legislature with a special session if they insisted on a moratorium on further contracts, and they caved in at the end of the session and allowed the provision to be dropped so Perry would sign it. No hearings or public input, just unethical political maneuvering. In other words, tax dollars supporting private profit on public roads, which will now essentially be private roads, and no limit to the fees and profits which will be charged and made. This reeks of hidden and massive kickbacks and the most incredible insult of all....this profit (read taxes) will all be exported out of the state and country. This was all done surreptitiously under the cover of an innocent seeming constitutional amendment which Perry engineered and which he says gave him the right to sign contracts for state services without Legislative or other citizen approval. Next, tricky rick signed long term deals with a Spanish Corporation to allow them to build, own and run tollways that will be up to 900 feet wide, with rails in the middle and all concessions within the toll either owned or leased by them, and the ability to charge and raise tolls as they needed. With the price of gasoline now rising and being manipulated, toll road money leaving as profit that should be plowed back into the transportation system and other agencies needing funds, guess what will happen to your collective state taxes This coming at a time when state studies have shown that Texans' incomes have declined by 10% since the early 90's (Austin American Statesman) Roadways are a necessity, not a commodity or luxury. You have now had a gun put to your head and your pockets forcibly emptied, all done legally. Let's get this and many other petitions going!! It is critical.Flag
