The best interests of the Natomas Park Master Association Homeowners are not being represented by Director William Fassnacht nor is his concept of fiduciary responsibility in sync with the Homeowners based on his recent motions: 1. “The Board will immediately notify Paladin that their contract will be cancelled, unless homeowners approve a dues increase to match the cost of the contract. (No notice needed to cancel off-duty city police officers.)” “All subsidized classes, activities, as well as other “free perks” be immediately stopped or made self-funding.” “All funds from budgeted or emergency expenditures from our present assessment of $69.00 will be reserved for the rebuilding, repairing of The Club. All funds so identified will be spent only on the Club until the homeowner approved repair/rebuild of The Club is complete.” 2. Director Fassnaucht introduced a proposal to increase dues by $55 per month to pay for Comcast cable and internet service. Not all Homeowners want to be locked in to a single internet and cable provider. In addition, according to the Davis Sterling Act, which the NPMA follows, a member of the Board of Directors should not be a member of the Board if they are bringing suit against the Association, because of the significant disruption caused by litigation and the conflicts of interest it creates for a sitting director to be suing the association. It further states that Directors have a Duty of Loyalty - Directors must act in the best interest of the association even if at the expense of their own best interest. We, the undersigned, are concerned NPMA homeowners who urge our Board to act now to hold a special meeting to remove Director William Fassnacht from the Board and hold a new election to replace him.
