We, the undersigned and citizens of the State of Texas, are outraged that the 256th District Family Court, entrusted and paid to protect children would take a child from his protective mother and place him into the unsupervised custody of, the child's father identified and known for sexually abusing the child. Placing a child in the custody, or, any unsupervised contact, with - known perpetrators of child sexual abuse, in contradiction of state statute. We are calling for an investigation and audit into all cases where protective parents have lost custody of their children because of the misconduct of “professionals” and organizations put in place to protect them.

The stories shared in the comments illustrate a systemic failure that extends far beyond a single courtroom. I am currently compiling documentation to present these accounts to the appropriate oversight committees.

I am a resident of Texas and know personally someone effected by the poor decisions of Judge Olvera. When presented with evidence of abuse how can a judge condone custody? It is incredibly disheartening that it is such a challenge to keep a child safe. Please investigate and remove her.

Rogue appointed, not elected, judges such as Graciela Olvera must be removed pending investigation of all her decision at the very least. This case, and the Tutt's children removal case reveal she is sorely lacking in skills to make judgements in family matters.

Lawyers who don't actually know and understand the law should NEVER be allowed to become judges. Based off of her rulings in the Tutt case, Judge Olvera doesn't know Texas law. Or doesn't care. Either way, she should be recalled.

We want an investigation and audit of all cases where protective parents have lost custody of their children because of misconduct of the professionals and organizations who are supposed to protect them.

I feel this Judge let her "power" go to her head. This should never have happened in our state of TEXAS. I agree an audit of all cases involving this judge or any other that made this type of decision that was not justified and was totally unlawful. But she needs to go home and make no more decisions...

She needs to be investigated and removed immediately. If not, I've lost all faith in our judicial system. There is something very wrong going on in her court room and it smells of money and has nothing to do with the rights of a child. Please investigate her immediately and remove her from her office.

Judge Olvera is no longer a judge and I am grateful for that, she is now an attorney which is funny to me, we voted you out and you didn't want to stay away. I do not recommend her, I want to look into a way to sue her for the wrong she has caused my family with her ruling.

Honestly, I had given up on this life long damage with PTSD and a multitude of additional life altering legal attacks against the true Good Parent(s). Mine is 22 now. Child support owed to me was ABATED (non-existent) and stuck me with child support. I have nit germ gainfully employed since 2009; the abuse beat me down. I fell deathly sick hospitalized for 11 days 3 of which were ICU. Scared. Hiding.
