Name: Carol Turner on Jan 27, 2013Comments: The Willston site needs to become an elementary school again for the benefit of the children, parents, and county. The County needs to return the school to the Fairfax County Public Schools. There is a rumor that Supervisor Penny Gross would like to give the land to the commercial Willston Center, a strip mall that is next to the property . That would be wrong, detrimental to Fairfax residents, and illegal. It is illegal to benefit a commercial developer's interest over the interests of a property owner. The residents of Fairfax County own Willston Center since the County currently owns the property.Flag

Name: Mary Billingsley on Jan 28, 2013Comments: As a Parklawn resident, I do not support building an elementary school on the site of Glasgow. Having two elementary schools within walking distance for Parklawn residents does the community a disservice. Kids should go to school in their neighborhoods.Flag

Name: Whitney Redding on Jan 28, 2013Comments: Keep schools local; keep them in the (geographic and cultural) heart of the communities they serve. Fairfax County has a great school system - please keep it strong by giving Willston Center back to the FCPS. Thanks!Flag

Name: Catherine M. Dubas on Jan 28, 2013Comments: Please help put the schools needed closest to the populations needing them. New/refurbished buildings are always a boost to the adjacent community. Not to mention that the Willston community, as densely populated as it is, needs a shorter commute to school, not a longer one. Please build at Willston.Flag
