Unrestricted subsidised travel has allowed older people and those with disabilities to play a full role in society, through working, learning, volunteering and socialising. Reading Borough Council's decision to cut back the hours that concessionary bus passes can be used (not before 9.30am or after 11pm) severely restricts users' ability to fully participate in professional and social life. We the undersigned call on Reading Borough Council to reverse the restrictions placed on the use of concessionary bus passes introduced on the 1st of April 2011.

We had a good evening socialising and we decide come back to towm afterwords. wen we got on the Bus my friend ,who was behind me couldn;t use his bus passe . He was upset and got off the bus. because I had payed my ticket I stayed on the bus. But I got off the bus cos He have a disability and I couldn't even think on Him walking all the way back to town by Him self.Just because that was after 11pm hr couldn;t use His free bus passe. All those who have some incapacity or disability needs like others had enought why take from them that?
