Unrestricted subsidised travel has allowed older people and those with disabilities to play a full role in society, through working, learning, volunteering and socialising. Reading Borough Council's decision to cut back the hours that concessionary bus passes can be used (not before 9.30am or after 11pm) severely restricts users' ability to fully participate in professional and social life. We the undersigned call on Reading Borough Council to reverse the restrictions placed on the use of concessionary bus passes introduced on the 1st of April 2011.
