Name: Gary Sivacek on Jan 22, 2013Comments: I live in Danbury and can see this area.. I live by Candlewood Lake and we have also had to keep the pressure on developers to do what is right. It seems that most developers are just in the business to maximize their profits and move on. Its a sad philosophy, for all, and one that is hopefully changing with the ideas of the Obama Administration and the pride of the local residents.Flag

Name: James Cordes on Feb 17, 2013Comments: Bethel homes and properties are every bit as valuable and desirable as homes in New Canaan, Darien, Greenwich or Westport. Personally I feel our town offers a better quality of life with our open spaces, the fact we haven't ruined our downtown with shopping malls, and that we've retained both charm and character. The Toll Brothers project shouldn't be let go, it shouldn't get a pass because something wasn't originally foreseen in the planning. The wall is an eyesore, it hurts everyone's material wealth. In a town like Darien it wouldn't be put up with, they would demand trees be planted and it would get done. We are no different. Lets get this done and continue to support the values of all our homes and neighborhoods in Bethel.Flag

Name: Catherine on Feb 17, 2013Comments: CT needs to look to the NYC watershed rules where they learned long ago the devastation that building on steep slopes brings to the environment. Did anyone even consider the effects on the natural wetlands directly below The Summit? We have not even begun to see the long-term effects of the nightmare known as The Summit at Bethel. Toll Brothers do what you can to right some of this wrong and put the trees back where they belong!Flag
