In any democratic country right of vote is one of the basic rights of its citizen. Unfortunately in Karachi people could not get the opportunity to use their right of vote independently on 11th May. There are several evidences available on social media how a planned rigging took place in many polling station. Since the announcement of election date, people of Karachi have been demanding an election under army supervision. An assurance has been made by the Election Commission of Pakistan regarding the presence of army on polling stations during polling process. But only few days before election suddenly Chief of Army Staff has changed the strategy and announced that the armed forces will not be available on polling station but they will work as quick response team. This change of strategy was very meaningful considering the situation of Karachi. Later it has been proved that the change of strategy was part of a planned game to give a free hand to some of the parties in Sindh particularly in Karachi. Unfortunately considering law and order situation a valid demand of Karachiites was ignored and consequently there was no ‘Free and Fair’ election in Karachi. On many place people could not cast their vote freely. Even on some places there was no election commission's staff available to facilitate people. 11th May was a nightmare for Karachiites and they have a right to demand re-election in Karachi. I belong to Karachi and I love my country and I deserve a right of ‘Free and Fair’ Election in my city under Pak Army Supervision. If you agree with this demand please sign this petition and send it to your friends. We need at 100,000 people to sign this petition so we can send it to Election Commission of Pakistan and Supreme Court of Pakistan.
