We the undersigned faculty, students and staff of Roxbury Community
College are outraged to see a youth treated in a dehumanizing manner on
our campus, as happened on October 22nd 2010.
We found the approach that the police officers utilized to be
disrespectful to the institution, its students, its faculty, and the
larger community.
We therefore demand:
1. A formal apology to the entire Roxbury Community College faculty,
students, and staff from Commissioner Edward F. Davis.
2. A formal apology to the family of the victim from Commissioner
Edward F. Davis
3. The permanent termination, from law enforcement, of the police
officers who abused their power during the incident.
The momentum behind this call for accountability remains steady and significant. This collective commitment affirms that the standards of conduct on our campus require immediate and serious attention from leadership.

This is exactly what happens when police think they own our streets and our schools. Disgusting behavior right here in our own backyard.

They act like they can do whatever they want to anyone they want. Time for some real consequences instead of just getting away with it every single time.

Roxbury deserves better than this. Police are suppose to help us not bully kids on campus. Fix this now.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. We need to hold these officers accountable for what they did. My heart goes out to the victim and their family.
