Students of Rasmussen Colleges. It has come to my attention that in the Spring of 2014, Rasmussen Colleges will do away with the physical books (actual books) that some of us opt in to receive. While this is not a big deal to some, a lot of us not only prefer but NEED the actual books. Some of us cannot sit in front of a computer for hours on end, some of us may have vision problems, some may not have access to a computer at all hours of the day and others have learning disorders that do not allow us to retain the information that we read while viewing our books online, we actually NEED the print book in order to retain the information. We are asking that you at least give us the choice, e-books or print books. We pay for our tuition, we pay for our expenses, we have the RIGHT to choose what learning materials we want to use. Please do not take this option away from us, take into consideration how this will affect some of your students. If Rasmussen really cares about education and students and not just savings and finances, you will allow us to have a choice. To you, the students: even if you prefer e-books, please take into consideration how your fellow students feel about this situation. You know that some of us NEED the print books, so please sign this petition for us...let us have an option as you do. Thank you.
