    Comments: Here are some reasons on why Rap Sucks! # 1. Anyone can make up a rap song and scratch a record. It takes skill to know how to play a guitar or drums, and it takes a lot of practice. And to prove that anyone can make a song, here is mine... Rap Sucks And it is only listened to by schmucks Everyone thinks its cool But they are only a fool # 2. Rap songs are all about violence, drugs, and other bad stuff in the world and how to do it. While on the other hand, rock sings about violence, drugs, and other bad stuff, but they tell you how to deal with them. # 3. Everyone that listens to rap are posers. They do not make their own trends, they only follow them. While rock fans make their own trends. Rock fans are not ashamed to dress like freaks. It makes them individuals. Everyone that listens to rap dresses alike (FuBu cloths, yankees cap, etc.), and talks alike (wazzup dawg, jigga, etc.). Rock fans just dress in black. That's it. Nothing else! Anything else, and they have done it individually! # 4. All rap songs sound alike. Enough said. # 5. Rap videos are degrading to women (alright, I am a guy, and I am not really complaning, but it is true). They insult all people of different races and sexes different from them. Just look at a DMX rap video...ever see a white person (or anyother race in them)? # 6. Ever been to a rap concert? Hundreds of police around, and your getting frisked worse then a White House Intern!!! # 7. What is one of the best things at a rock concert? A MOSH PIT!!! If you even attempt to start a mosh pit at a rap concert, you have a better chance surviving a Mexican Firing Squad then you do surviving a shot from the person next to you. # 8. Who cares how much ice you got or who your dogs are? rap lyrics are just people talkin shit through ebonics. 1st of all speak english, 2nd people who talk a lot of shit suck!!! # 9. Rap Sucks becuase rappers sing about how they represent the east side and how he should "bust a cap" on all the west side niggaz....in rock nobody cares where you are from they only care about good music.

Plus hair metal altogether is no different from mainstream rap, and as far as violence goes, heard plenty of rock songs that sings about violence in a more encouraging way. 3. Actually rap fans do create their own trends, otherwise, it wouldn't exist to begin with. Rap by far has been the only culture where they trendset and has a big influence on society, while rock fans, even though they claim to "be different, unique, not ashamed to dress like freaks" all look alike in the end. I mean c'mon, you can honestly tell me in the sea of clones of long hair and band shirts that I can tell any of you "freaks" apart? 4. Yea and all rock sounds the same too, same ol guitar solo, same ol drum solo, a guy singing or screaming about some depressing shit, NEXT. 5. Again we go back to hair metal which also degrades women and their artist treating them like hoes, no different from mainstream rap. And if you want to talk about the race card, well, rock videos seem to mainly have nothing but white girls, especially again going back to hair metal, when you watch videos like Motley Crue's girls girls girls or Warrant's cherry pie what do you see? White girls, no blacks, no asians, as a matter of fact, mainstream rappers have more variety of girls in their videos than all of rock in general, unless it was Lenny Kravitz. 6. Most rap concerts aren't innocent, but neither are rock concerts, and trust me, I've been to rock concerts and fights have broken out. 7. WOW, a glorious moshpit? You mean where a bunch of idiots gather around punching, kicking, and touching each other's penises? I think I'd rather take my chances of anything at a rap concert. 8. And nobody cares how depressed you are and how much you wanna kill yourself as prevalent in rock songs, and 9. Rockers might not care where you are from but they do care so much about alittle thing called "posers", you know, that wonderful word that seems to be present around the rock community for those who they think are not "tr00 rock fans" cause they listen to bands which you deem as poser rock, which is just as bad as the westside/eastisde thing which ended 15 years ago.     Comments: Some retarded comments on here! As a rapper, who was attracted to the drums, patterns, layers, textures of instruments used, its plain ignorant to criticize a whole genre. I produce hip hop and play bass guitar and keyboards. I can layer synths, edit samples, even cut and paste intricate pieces into a new melody, eq, and process with effects creatively. The talent lies in the engineering and pre-productions. Hours are spent on mastering machinery and computer software. Sound is sound and should be respected for the effort and process of putting it together. Just like how at 1st I thought rock music was random strumming and screaming gibberish, but realized their was a method and melody, the same applies to hip hop. Some sucks, some is creative and well arranged. I rap to express myself. I use poetry, and complex word schemes and patterns that most couldn't even duplicate. It takes rhythm and vocabulary, and understanding of syllable placements and sounds with vocal tones, pitch, pace, and prose that the instrumental calls for. If I and my community grew up in a circumstance that you can't relate to, Im sure the same applies to your music and my people. If you like what you like for your own reasons, fine, but why argue and criticize someone for enjoying a different flavor? Insecurity, prejudice, and shallow minded thinking and impatience gives you the motivation to to speak so recklessly. Bust a cap in your bitch ass comment sucka

Just have to rant about how worthless and corrupting your form of "music" is because I feel like you should know just how horrible this supposed "art" is and how much I despise how bad it's effects have been on not only our society but our culture (American in this case) and on top of all things, it's sadly become a worldwide epidemic. First off, it's minimalism at it's worse. It's also derogatory, demeaning, non-productive, soulless, very talentless, badly produced, vindictive, materialistic, unmusical, directionless and quite meaningless in general. And meaningless is a good way to start with this horrible form of "music". Let me ask all you defenders of this garbage- Just WHAT do you get out of this? What is appealing about this form of "music"? Are you really this brain-dead?? Do you realise it's mostly just people talking out loud over a programmed drum pattern with very little melody in the background? Canned voices, and mostly hired singers that rarely harmonise every once in a while behind everything. How about that production hmmmm? Yeeeea- The bass turned all the waaaay up in the mix so it overshadows everything, someone rhyming things that either don't make sense to most people and so much of it is forced and wedged into the meters. And believe me, much of it is really forced. So much of it is just jump-rope rhymes and it really sounds so childish. It's just a bunch of fools shouting and spiting garbage into a mic and really what do you get out of this? Really- WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF THIS TRASH? With practically every rap tune that I've ever heard (and don't give me that garbage how I haven't heard this and that, because so much of it sounds the same. There might be ONE percent of it that has quality, but your one percent is never reproduced and it's not good enough) it has no emotion or atmosphere and is mostly angry ranting. Why not just take your shit to a poetry reading and keep it underground??? Yes, do keep it there because it doesn't belong anywhere else and don't give a shit about public demand because the media and your whores manipulated all of this. Get it off the airwaves and out of the public because it's just a disgrace and makes no sense! How are people this dense? True artists will listen to this and laugh or puke and that includes musicians and composers that are so much more superior to your non feeling, non melodious and non productive crap. It's such a shame that people used to have to TRY and write songs. They used to have to think and FEEL their way through a musical composition. And sure, it never guarantees quality but at least there was SOME form of effort and quality, someone playing instruments and being genuine. This is not the case with rap and someone shouting about hard times in the ghetto and going on about money and doing drugs, having sex with someone is NOT special, nor is it artistic. You hardly play instruments and you all sound synthetic and full of shit. Who cares about this one dimensional display?? NOONE- all you did was "create" something for stupid people, and most of all brainless women that will move to your "music" like a machine. It's disgusting and stupid! I also throw hip-hop into the mix, and whatever you call this weak disco dance bullshit that we got rid of eventually in the 70s with a cause of justice for the musical world. Beethoven once asked about the meaning of music and in response one said "something to exhalt the soul" In return, he said "no-when you hear marching music you march" He also said something to the effect- "what was I thinking when I created this music?" The point is that music is something to ponder and understand, to get into the mind of someone in the abstract. NOOOO- that does NOT apply with rap. YOU ARE TALKING TO ME! I don't want to be in your ghetto mind and why would anyone want to be??? Do I march to your fucking tune??? Nope- I would dance to it IF I went to a dance club. Then KEEP IT IN THE FUCKING DANCE CLUBS!!! That's right-I'm talking about YOU- you disgraceful media and business owners and whores of the establishment that blare it in cars and waste your dollars for the jukebox in bars where you just sit there and hardly move. what is this, just static noise for the background???
