The train that runs parallel to Hwy HH, and crosses County Hwy E, and County Hwy M; blasts the horn almost every hour, 24 hours a day. Both these intersections have bells, and mechanical gates that block the intersection when a train is approaching, thus there is little need to blast the horn. Studies have shown that people whose REM sleep is interrupted tend to be more irritable and not function as well during the day. We feel that both these intersections could safely be made "quiet zones" because of the safety equipment already in place.
