June | Hunter | GB | I am disgusted by the removal of the UK Theme. It used to wake me up in the mornings and leave me feeling a real buzz for the rest of the day. Shame on you BBC for destroying this!

Trevor | Hare | GB |
Nick | Galv | GB | BRING IT BACK NOW!!!!
A | Abdel | | I don't understand how a few minutes of music in the morning would disadvantage any listener. UK theme inspired our hearts and minds to bid sleep farewell and start an early morning. After setting the radio alarm to BBC 4 for years, I have stopped doing so. Couldn't news wait a few minutes? Why should anyone wake up to a grave news tone instead of the gentle breeze of our beloved UK theme?
Allison | Pell | GB | Cutting the theme is madness... I used to swap over from Radio 2 to Radio 4 just to hear it... now I'll not switch channels until 6am and Today is on. Half an hour less Radio 4 listening. Why yet more news at 5.30? We have 3 hours of it 6-9...
Phil | Graham | GB |
Andrew James | Worley | GB | Bring back the BBC Radio 4 Theme - it was the best way to wake up early in the morning and feel proud to live in Britain!

Anonymous | Anonymous | GB | Hope the UK theme returns soon
Anonymous | Anonymous | SE | I WAS UPSET AND ANGRY WHEN I HEARD AS IT WAS ALWAYS SOMETHING I ENJOYED HEARING - IT WAS A COMFORT AS WELL AS BEING SOMETHING 'RELIABLE', STABLE IN THIS EVER CHANGING WORLD - I THINK WHAT HE DID WAS A SHOW OF IGNORANCE AND ARROGANCE, ITS LIKE SOMEONE TAKING IT UPON THEMSELVES TO PULL DOWN TOWER BRIDGE IN LONDON, IT SHOULD OF BEEN THE COUNTRYS DECISION
| 18534 | David | Stanway | GB | Please reinstate the Radio4 theme.
It is an excellent start to the day when driving down to Cornwall in the early mornings. It gives a feeling of perpetuity and Britishness. |
Kathleen | Shipley | GB | How sad to see yet another integral part of our good traditions abandoned.
Anonymous | Anonymous | GB | I am very dissapointed to learn that this theme has been dropped. I do not listen to it everyday. In fact it's probably more like once or twice a year when I am up at that time. However, over the years it's been an institution - that I have known was always there, for when on the few occasions I was up at that time, I could listen and savour.
MARK | BREWINGTON | GB | Bring the theme back you insensitive jobsworth!!!
