Comments: Congratulations, parents, on taking such a brave step, and for demonstrating such concern about your childrens' education. Schools are not chip-shops - they should not be run for profit! Public funds should be accountable - the school governors should be accountable to the public - not to the Chief Executive of a sponsoring organisation, Children are children - not a commodity to be bought and sold in the marketplace of education. And you are right to be concerned about qualified teachers - would you want a well intentioned, yet unqualified doctor treating your children's ailments?

Comments: I feel that this is a disgrace that the school has made improvements with improved grades and following an ofsted stating they were making satisfactory progress that this has been blatantly ignored. If the taxers payer who send their children to this school do not want to change to an academy, why should this be ignored by an outsider who knows nothing about the school community. I am not from that area, but I am strongly apposing these types of changes within our community. The government needs to remember the voices of the people who elect them into power otherwise it will be their shortest run in parliament!

Comments: The local authority is in a strong enough position with enough experience to see the school through its current difficulties.

Comments: After receiving a letter home from school about this I first thought 'what has it got to do with me', however, having read the letter in full it incensed me that at a drop of a hat they can force this on a school. This could be any of our schools and can't be allowed to happen.
