Cindy Vilchek | 22206 | Bunnies are good pets but only under very special circumstances and should not be sold by pet stores where they can be purchased without having the house or family checked out to make sure they will be good owners.
Jessica Strobbe | 48236 | I am absolutely disgusted with PetSmart's decision to seel rabbits. I always considered PetSmart to be an animal friendly company. If they choose to move forward I will no longer for any reason shop there and will in turn persuade friends to do the same.
Lori | 48066 | The fact that Petsmart HAS NOT sold rabbits and promotes animal rescue groups is THE reason I purchase my pet products from their stores. This is a great disappointment and will require a change in where I purchase my products if they begin to sell rabbits.
Sandy Patton | 48188 | I will discontinue shopping at Petsmart if they sell rabbits.
Jenni Byrnes | 98685 |
Sue Donaldson | 15229 | Please walk through an animal shelter to see what the sale of animals does.
Pete Jagoda | 99224 | Petsmart, by intentionally breeding animals and selling them you are teaching children and society that rabbits are a commodity. You are sentencing homeless rabbits to death because your giving preference to a rabbit that you are mass producing. You will lose my business if you choose this route. I will no longer refer friends, family or adopters to you either.

Linda Thibault | 06855 | As the Owner of a rabbit shelter I see all too clearly how many homeless bunnies there are and how many unwanted pets that are dumped each day. Please Petsmart, DO NOT add to the existing problem. Work with local shelters to help place their rabbits and do not produce even more unwanted bunnies.

Lisa Kasiorek | 15122 | What you're considering is CRUEL and INHUMANE!PLEASE consider working with the Humane Society on setting up adoptions. Become a company known for supporting a good cause, one that will educate people, help these poor animals find a good home, and do your part to help end inhumane treatment and animal cruelty.
Joanne Shay | 12065 | While I understand that PetSmart intends to offer the rabbits at $99 which will deter some impulse sales, this could also cause them to then lower their price to increase sales (and therefore increased dumps), or have the rabbits existing a long time, unpurchased at a PetSmart store. I am also not confident that PetSmart employees would be trained enough in the complexities of trying to find vet care for rabbits, or the cruelty of keeping a rabbit outdoors, or their tendancy towards destructive behavior indoors.
JULIANA | AMARILLAS | Please do not sell rabbits in your stores. These creatures are living beings and not products that are disposable. Find a more creative way to increase sales for small animals. Try sponsoring adoptions for the homeless rabbits that came from pet stores and were relinquished.
Susan Rae | 99026 | Please do not encourage the sale of rabbits.
Linda Oleszko | 48093-2515 | I am so disappointed in you as a corporation.

Anonymous | Anonymous | I will no longer shop at Petsmart while this is going on.
Claudine Stone | 20877 | There are so many bunnies out there needing a good home! Petshops create so much unnecessary cruelty. :`(

Bobbie Shewmaker | 62269 | Please don't sell rabbit's. Your about adopting rabbit's not selling them.
Sandra K Smith | 18929 | I wholeheartedly endorse this message. PetsMart had been my supplier of choice. Regretably, I will take my business to Cutter's Mill, even though the travel is significantly farther, if rabbits are sold at the local PetsMart.
Liam Casey | 20003 |
Danielle Collins | 30012 | I don't even know where to start...
Chelsey Plater | 48124 | Considering the fact that Petsmart holds adoption events for many rabbit rescues, they're basically angering and saddening all of them.
Kelly Hitz | 17111 |
Claudia La Rue | 92117 | I have volunteered with San Diego County's Department of Animal Services, and I can say from personal experience that the number of purchased rabbits that are abandoned at the shelters is appalling. Selling rabbits in your stores will only make the situation worse.
Chris Dettrey | 19320 | PetSmart should allow rabbit rescue adoption groups to come into their stores as they do with cats and dogs. There is no difference between rescued rabbits needing a home and rescued dogs needing a home.
Heather Stricklen | 48315 | I am appalled that PetSmart would decide to sell rabbits. I volunteer for a not for profit rabbit rescue group and a majority of the rabbits we see and have in our foster care are dumped pet store rabbits. We even host our adoption events at local PetSmart stores. This defeats our purpose on "rescuing" and raising public awareness on purchasing a rabbit from a pet store. PetSmart is lowering itself with the other pet stores and ignoring the fact that there are already millions of rabbits out there that need forever homes.

Aubrey Baker | 13838 |
Daphne J Lawson | 84096 | Rabbits are animals that require as much care as a cat or dog. It is not okay for them to be constantly confined in a cage. They are the highest abused animal due to neglect and unsanitary living conditions. Please think more about the animals, than profits. Thank you!
Anonymous | Anonymous | please do not sell bred rabbits at your stores. There are enough at shelters already.
Kay Kendall | 77057 | I fully support this petition against PetSmart's selling rabbits in its stores. I hope this concerned petition changes the chain's policy, which is inexcuseable.
