1756 Barbara Diez Nefff85712Please consider an arrangement with the shelter community who will surelyy be glad to enter into a partnership with PetSmart to make rabbit adoptions possible just as the arrangements regarding dogs and cats ~ There are so many rabbits already needing homes without encouraging rabbit-mill breeders !!

1761 Amy Pernak48125I have 3 rescued rabbits that were bought from pet stores and dumped at the shelter I volunteer at. There are already many small individually owned pet stores and large chains that sell rabbits. We dont need Petsmart adding to the overpopulation in our shelters and mistreatment of bunnies! NOT TO MENTION, most pet store employees are NOT PROPERLY EDUCATED on rabbit care/health which lead to probems for the rabbit and their owners because they were misinformed! Petsmart should begin working with local rabbit shelters to promote adoptions as well as rabbit education. After all, this should be about the animals NOT the money!

1767 Joseph Rodrigue91766I am a good Petsmart customer, constantly shopping for things for my Guinea pigs. I agree with this petition, and I am surprised that Petsmart would do this. It does not fit with the caring reputation that they have thus far deserved.

1771 AnonymousAnonymousAs a PetSmart shopper, I am alarmed at PetSmart's decision to breed and sell rabbits to their retail customers. As a volunteer grant writer, and a member of a animal welfare group in TX, I witness first hand the violence visited upon animals because their owners were ignorant of their new pets' needs. Animal abandonment in our County is so problematic that seeing these unfortunate creatures standing on the highway or dead in the road is all too common a tragic sight. PetSmart, please stop your rabbit breeding program and focus your resources on those unwanted animals needing to find their "forever" family.

1773 Janis Kuzma97333Petco also started selling rabbits during their "Think Adoption First" campaign, and refuse to allow shelters and rescues to bring small animals to their adoption events.

1777 SylviaMqq 1dwRabbits are amazing animals, but people will buy them, without thought or understanding. Please don't sell them, there are too many already in shelters. For the serious only please only re home from a shelter.
1778 kimi34996Will my outcry be heard? I hope to make a difference by telling Pet Stores who sell rabbits that the business decision you make with the lives of innocent rabbits displays your uneducated lack of knowledge and disrespect to the very community you are trying to sell products to. Rabbits are not products, they are living, breathing animals just like a cat or dog! The pennies you make on them destroys the hope we have in our local pet stores to do the right thing and support shelters instead.
