Matthew Curt Levy | The horns on the trains need to stop in our neighborhood at the Lenox Rd Crossing.

Arik Kono | Please stop the annoying train whistle.
Richard Spady | There are lights and electronic guard rails at the Lenox road cross. There is no need for a train whistle.

Anonymous | Those middle-of-night trains can interrupt sleep in houses more than a mile away, we can attest.

Shak Presswala | I live 500 yards from the track on Arlington Ave and would like to see this measure put in place. The CSX trains blow the horn 1/4 miles before the crossing at Lenox and another 1/8 mile past it. It is very unnecessary.

thanks |
Jeremy Freeman | My home is located by The Railroad Tracks. I think we are entitled to a quiet zone to end the noise which is caused each time a train goes by. this is especially true for the numerous times through the night as the train goes by.
Cleveland Sasser | Thank you for this oppertunity. The horns really do shatter the InTown quiet, especially at night.
John Risko |
Dan Harkness | I think the noise pollution created in this large, residential area is unnecessary and the benefits to the city of enhancing the intersection far outweigh the cost.
Anonymous | I am trying to get a quiet zone established for the CSX line that runs parallel to Marietta Road from the Chattahoochee into downtown.

J J Slemenda Jr | I live on Lenox Circle in Lenox Park. While both ends of Lenox Circle are in Fulton County, City of Atlanta, a large portion of the circle loops through unincorporated DeKalb County, and my wife and I live on the Dekalb County section of the street. The train tracks abut our back yard, and I'm tired of being awakened at 4:00 PM Sunday morning by the train horn's blast. Please include us if at all possible. We use City of Atlanta water and sewer, but all of our other services and taxes come under DeKalb.

Adam Wildstein | Stopping the unnecessary usage of the railroad horn would provide a more peaceful environment for my community, along with providing me with a better atmosphere for sleeping. Thanks!

Anthony Staiano | Sometimes in the middle of the night the train engineers just blast the horn for no reason. I can see the crossing from my back window. What are they thinking, "I have to be up so should everyone else."?
Anonymous | We live in Morningside at least several miles away from that train crossing and we can hear it LOUDLY every time it comes by. The current level of noise is totally unnecessary.

Barry Golivesky | I think that anything that can be done to improve the quality of life for the area residents is a good thing. I believe it will not only improve quality of life but also the safety of area residents.
Anonymous | I am a resident in the Woodland Hills subdivision who unfortunately endures the constant horn of the trains endlessly.
Kristin Pierce | I reside in Woodland Hills and would love to have this as a "quiet zone".
larry pett | Blasting the horn 8 or 9 times in the middle of the night, or during the day, for that matter, is very unnecessary. there are crossbars and a flashing light, and one or two toots of the horn would be sufficient. I get the feeling that the train engineers have nothing better to do at their job than to blast the horn as much as they can get away with just to have some activity. If motorists cannot hear the horn the first time it is blasted, or see the cross bars, or see the flashing light, they deserve whatever consequences occur. I say either quit the horn blasting altogether, or limit it to one or two times, max.

Bill Austin | Some of the conductors blow for miles at the Lenox Rd. crossing in Morningside. 24 hours a day of traffic and that is ok... It is a Quite Zone.
Anonymous | The train noise is bad enough, but thanks to the horn, I can hear the train WELL before it ever gets near my house!!
Paul Norton | A quiet zone would allow for a higher quality of life within the city of Atlanta and attract more residents to the city.
