E. J. WIMBERLY | There is simply no need for the overly loud multiple horn blows (six or more) of every train that passes the crossing near 2000 Lenox Road. It is very objectionable! My home is not that close to the RR but I can hear the horn in the shower even though I cannot hear my doorbell, which has very loud chimes. One neighbor nearby told me he would not have bought his home if he'd known about the horn. When I first moved in several weeks went by before I could get a whole night's sleep. Help us get a quiet zone here!
Debbie Tokich | Please consider making this a reality. This would greatly enhance the quality of our lives, especially at night when sleeping.
JasonLeonardelli | Please designate my neighborhood as a quiet zone. The loud train horn is sounded often, and reduces our quality of life.

John Kramer | Been living about 150 yards from the crossing for 25 years..would certainly like to get a good nite's sleep without having to be awakend at least 3 times a nite.
Rebecca Tokich | It sure would be nice to not hear a train horn, especially at 4 in the a.m, let alone all hours of the night.

Marsha Bailey | I've lived by these RR tracks for 28 years and can attest there is a vast range in the decibel level of those whistles. Many are obnoxiously loud, harsh and prolonged--continuing way past the crossing. These appear to come from trains moving too fast for this crossing. The noise volume at times approaches airplane runway levels. Regulations on sound and speed are long overdue particularly since train traffic and Lenox Rd car traffic have both increased.I
S. McClung | please stop blowing the horn from 10pm to 7am. Lenox has crossing bars and lights there is no need for lengthy train horns throughout the middle of the night especially on a road with minimal traffic in the wee hours.

Melinda Broome | Please stop the horn. I leave 1 block from the train tracks and it blows at ALL hours of the night.

Christine Neilands | I live very close to this crossing and the train whistle is very annoying. I would love to have this area established as a quiet zone.

Kelly Pentecost | What would it mean to have the Lenox Road crossing designated a Quiet Zone? Without any hesitation: a better quality of life. It has become very apparent that there are no rules governing the trains that use this track: no rules relating to how long & how many times a horn is to be blown when approaching a crossing; no rules on how far from the crossing a train can start & must stop blowing the horn; certainly no decibel limit; and amazingly - no limit to the speed of the trains. It's obvious that it's completely arbitrary & up to whomever is "driving" the train as to what is done. Lenox Road - a two lane road with a speed limit of 30 that weaves through distinctive intown neighborhoods and that currently has RR signals & road-blocking arms – certainly can handle being a Quiet Zone. Please help us to fully enjoy our homes, our yards and our neighborhoods by approving the minimal funding needed to establish this area as a Quiet Zone.

Ann Myer | Trains do not need to blow their horns when they go through neighborhoods at all hours of the day and night. The establishment of a quiet zone at the Lenox Road crossing would improve the quality of life for many tax-paying residents of Atlanta, and it should be implemented immediately.

Jennifer DeLoach | Please! At least after 9:00 p.m. till 9:00 a.m.!
Anonymous | Please stop the horn. If this is not a necessary process for the trains we ask that we keep our neighborhoods quiet and stop the horns.

Meghann Murphy | Please stop the horn at Lenox Rd Xing
Barry T Murphy | please stop the horn at lenox rd Xing
Jeff Raw | I recently moved from Woodland Hills on Arlington Ave and was only about 6 houses from the tracks. The train itself is not bad, but the horn gets obnoxious depending on the engineer's mood... This would make the great neighborhoods of Woodland Hills and Morningside even better.
Albert Jones | It's one thing to blow the horn once or twice to alert motorists but doing so repeatedly is just plain annoying, ESPECIALLY late at night.
Anonymous | Please stop the noise from the train horn.
