Put the YOU back into YouTube

We, the YouTube community, want to see a change in the way YouTube is run. For a good few years one of the key features of YouTube, the subscription box, has been broken. There's no other way to put it. People simply have not been receiving the videos they have signed up to receive. We'd like to see this fixed. YouTube also seems to think that they know exactly what people want to see on their homepage with the "What To Watch" feature. We think this should be used as a supplement to the subscription box, not as a replacement. People know what videos they want to see, that is why they subscribe to channels. This is why we'd like to see "My Subscriptions" as the default homepage. The recent announcement of the removal of the Video Response feature has also caused upset in the community. For many years the video response feature was used to spark discussion (Becoming Youtube), showcase the best talent in the community (the Vlogbrothers' Nerd Factor) and generally expand on the limitations of the comment section. We feel that with the removal of this feature YouTube is stifling discussion and removing one of the key parts of YouTube, the community. The changes we'd like to see are as follows: 1) A working subscription box 2) 'My subscriptions' as the default home page or at least an option to change from 'What to Watch' 3) The Video Responses feature to not be removed. The community is one of the best parts of YouTube and we shouldn't let our voice go unheard. So please sign this petition if you want to start putting the you back into YouTube. Thank you. Please share this petition so we can get as many people on board as we possibly can. (I've put a ludicrously high signature target so we can collect as many signatures as possible. We need to show YouTube that we're not to be ignored, feel free to include your username in your signature)
