This is a petition for the people by the people not only for the above mentioned reason but also for our right to demand the government allow us to vote on the laws and regulations in our country and not just the elected officials who have not only failed at their jobs when they allowed a government shutdown but also failed at their most basic duty to represent the people who elected them
