Background:

Developer Francis Koh purchased the old power station building at National Park Seminary as zoned for 12 units. He is now requesting permission from the NPS board to expand to 17 units.

We as property owners of the NPS community wish to make it clear to the NPS board that we are not opposed to the original 12 unit development. However we are strongly opposed to the expansion of the development beyond the original 12 unit plan. We believe the long term downside of the additional density will be detrimental to our community, impacting property values, traffic safety and parking.

We believe that any financial losses that might be sustained by the developer as a result of his own miscalculations are his responsibility and it is not in the best interests of the NPS community to provide a "bail out" by sacrificing our current standards of living.

We also feel that allowing the expansion of these units sets a dangerous precedent for future development including the old Carroll House site and the "Taco Bells".

We are requesting the NPS Board vote No to Mr Koh's request for expanding the number of units and to develop the site in accordance with the current master plan.
