Name: Sean O'Neill on Dec 6, 2007What is your university affiliation: Graduate StudentComments: Campus Drive is the ideal location for a possible Purple Line to go. It would not only be extremely beneficial for the university and its students, but would also benefit the rest of the Purple Line much more than a non-centralized route would.Flag

Name: Nicole Wynands on Dec 6, 2007What is your university affiliation: Grad Student/ GAComments: I am a commuter student from Silver Spring. Though I won't be at the university anymore to enjoy the benefits of the Purple Line, I hope that many others will. The shuttle UM drops me off right in the center of campus, which is very convenient and one of the reasons I chose to live in Silver Spring. I hope that the new Purple Line will be as convenient!Flag

There are 100,000 auto trips daily to the UofM and the Purple Line will greatly enchance non-auto traffic to this busy Campus. Bill Kelly -Chair Coll. Pk. Area Bicycle Coalition=CPABCFlag

Name: David Daddio on Dec 6, 2007What is your university affiliation: AlumnusComments: UMD continues to recklessly ignore a multi-year, multi-million dollar public planning process. They must work proactively and collaboratively with MTA to refine the most prudent and feasible alternative through campus - Campus Drive. The campus community expects nothing less than complete cooperation.Flag

Name: Miranda Martin on Dec 7, 2007What is your university affiliation: noneComments: As local residents we support the development of public transportation that will encourage students, staff and faculty to commute by metro instead of in their cars. In addition, the public will be much more likely to use public transportation to attend games, and arts events at Clarice Smith. The addition of a stop on campus will make public transportation more attractive to all those who use the campus.Flag
