Name: Chris Posniewski on Apr 25, 2010Comments: Mr Long was killed by an enemy combatant in the name of holy war, and Mr Ezeagwula was injured by the same combatant. I believe that these men deserve to have a purple heart awarded. It is only the right thing to do, in respect to members of our military. These men were targeted for their devotion to our great country, and one of them lost his life. They are true patriots, Mr Long could even be called a martyr. Please do the right thing, and award these men their combat honors.Flag

Name: Vanessa Rice on Jul 23, 2010Comments: My brother is William Andrew Long. So glad to see this site... let me know if there is anything I can do to assist. Both of these soldiers deserve this. It should be a given for any soldier both foreign or domestic that loose their life for their country that they are sworn to serve and give their life if needed from a known enemy that takes the life of a civilian or military. I have read the docs from several different places and it shows per the law that what happened in Little Rock 6/1/2009 qualifies them for the purple heart. However the needed persons who have this ability don't feel this way apparently. Hopefully this amoung other movements from our families will get this done after all.Flag

Name: Janet L Long on Jul 23, 2010Comments: All that needed done was a proper investigation by the Department of the Army and for our Federal Government to admit this was an act of terrorism. Pvt Long and Pvt Ezeagwula (as well as those soldiers in Ft. Hood) rate the Purple Heart. Anything less is dishonor to all military past and present as well as a slap in the face to all Americans.Flag

Name: Angela Heslip on Aug 20, 2010Comments: These men should be honored for their service to our country. One of which gave the ultimate sacrifice just for being an American soldier wearing his uniform with pride. It is not even safe for our servicemen to stand in a parking lot in America and not be gunned down by extremist Muslim terrorists. What is our country coming to? I think it is time to stop being so politically correct and do what we need to do, send em back where they came from...emigration has to stop somewhere.Flag

God help the rest of us and the USA. Thankfully we still have the volunteer military to make the ultimate sacrifice.Flag
