Name: Dana Marie on Sep 25, 2012Comments: How can a company proclaiming to sell “high quality nutritious pet foods” such as Purina, get away with filling their foods ridden with many cheap primary grain ingredients, sugars, chemical preservatives, artificial colorants, and propylene glycol when this is misleading the public and driving our dearest and loved pets into the vets office for issues related to the failure and the diseases of their organs TIME AND TIME AGAIN? This formulation is NOT biologically appropriate for dogs specifically to ingest on a daily basis! No wonder why obesity, diabetes, pancreatis, kidney and liver disease, and yeast infections are on the rise with our pets nowadays! A dog’s body needs a majority of wholesome proteins; not cheap carbohydrates, chemicals, and by-products to live. By a company that proclaims that they are adhering to USDA, FDA and AAFCO approved ingredients and regulations, this DOES NOT MEAN IT'S HEALTHY! There is certainly a huge LOOPHOLE that needs to be fixed for the safety of all our household canine and feline pets as AAFCO proclaims that they do not regulate, test, approve or certify pet foods in any way. The FDA has approved MANY ingredients such as saccharin and aspartame, but consumed everyday, has been linked to severe health issues. The same holds true with the mix of chemical preservatives, sugars, artificial food colorings and propylene glycol in pet foods. These foods are being consumed for every day for pets (up to twice a day) for months to years. Common sense should prevail that this chemical concoction will accumulate in the organs over time; thus causing failure and certain types of cancers as this deadly mix will weaken the immune system. As such, it is asked that low quality pet food companies such as Purina be mandated to reformulate their foods to be more canine and feline species diet appropriate or have warning labels put on all the bags of their foods clearly stating “by feeding your pet this food regularly can be hazardous to your pets life”.Flag

Name: Florence on Sep 25, 2012Comments: I have bought a lot of your products and if there aren't any changes then I will never buy your products again. I love my dogs and I just started making homemade food for them because of all the bad ingredients in yours and others products. It is a shame that it has come down to this. I use to trust your products but this will not happen anymore unless things change. Not sure if anyone here has animals but they are like our children and if the food is not good for our children then we do not feed it to them and the same goes to our animals. Shame on you!!Flag

Name: Judy Pipolo on Mar 11, 2013Comments: As previously stated on a Purina Facebook page and blog and posting on Consumer affairs by the Po patience and tolerance from my husband and the concern and attention from my personal vet and local animal hospital they Saved our husky who was so badly poisoned by Healthychoice Beneful. We were just about to pout her down and we're waited it out..thankfully...thousands upon thousands of dollars later she was saved. Purina shut be Shutdown. They are know for this inhumane crime and the Nestle Puri as legasl and customer service department..just extend their sympathy and apologies. But customers like us register the same complaint, concern and sometimes the fatality and they just brush it off. Let's stand together...I'll be happy to share All my documentation with all to stop production of this nast food.Flag
