License Oyasumi Punpun in the United States

Publishing group Viz Media has already licensed two of Inio Asano’s works in the United States. Unfortunately, the series Oyasumi Punpun has yet to receive any English distribution. Oyasumi Punpun is widely considered a masterpiece amongst not only his own works, but within the world of manga itself. Showing a new take on surreal and slice-of-life, it stands as an evolving sub-genre that can be enjoyed by new English readers.
The goal of the petition is to demonstrate not only interest in Inio Asano’s work, but more work like it. After reaching the targeted amount of signatures, our petition would be sent to Viz Media. With this appeal sent we hope to open a dialogue and encourage more collaboration from the publishing group. Voicing this interest can shine new light on mangas like Oyasumi Punpun, and more work we have not yet seen!
