This act of public caning would be inforced as a measure after a criminal is found guilty of a crime that is a felony, less than murder. The crimes I am petitioning caning for are car-jacking, any crime with a weapon where bodily harm was induced and malicious destruction of property. Other crimes are also to be considered, especially those pertaining to abuse of children; less than murder. I am a firm believer in equal rights and a fair trial, I also am a believer in "An eye for an eye". We in the United States have gotten soft, I want us to show these criminals that we are a strong serious nation. Take it back to the days of the old west. Where families would pack up food and the kids to see someone get their just "butt whipping". Like my grandmother used to say "A good butt whipping never hurt anyone. Plus after a good caning the suspect won't be able to sit, much less steal a car.
