Name: Anonymous on Jun 17, 2007Comments: My kids have enjoyed many many weekends at this place and they were crying when they found out what had happened. I never had to worry about them when I knew they were up the track. Their friend got stabbed a few weeks ago in an unprovoked attack. The government are forcing all kids to have no life. There are way too many rules and regulations now. Mostly because its all about MONEY in someones pocket. Get a grip forestry and HELP them don't call vandalism following guidlines. If you loved the outdoors as you say then you would do everything in your power to help them.Flag

Name: Matthias Schwannauer on Jun 17, 2007Comments: hi, as a psychologist and mental health professional working with adolescents in Scotland I know how important it is that sustained and supported out of bounds projects and opportunities are created for young people. The Lennoxtown trails are an excellent example how these opportunities can develop naturally and create a sustained alternative culture to alcohol and street drugs. Please allow the trails to be rebuildFlag

Name: Julie Brown on Jun 17, 2007Comments: this is an absolute disgrace, the way in which the fc has handled this situation deeply saddens me. To destroy something without any thought for the people who have spent so much time trying to improve the local area just to have their hard work demolished within minutes.Flag

Name: Craig MacCalman on Jun 17, 2007Comments: It saddens me to see the good work of so many young people, ripped down with only a moments notice and no help offered to rebuild . Surely this is a major blow to the local youth facilities.Flag

Name: Ross Steele on Jun 17, 2007Comments: 3 years hard work, thousands of pounds and thousands of man hours destroyed in a day. its so very difficult just to get one meeting with the forestry but at the drop of a hat and they can send 4 vans to demolish our dreams. so much for the goverment wanting to keep kids off the street. the forestry claim rights as if they own the forests but realy they are part of the goverment that we pay our taxes to. I say we own it. OK rules and regulations do play an inportant part in our life and in many cases make us safer so why dont the forrestry help the boys design and build a new simaler track but to there high standards WITHOUT BUILDING ANOTHER GLENTRESS OR CARRON VALLEY. come on forrestry do the right thing.Flag

Name: COLIN on Jun 17, 2007Comments: Although im not one of the bravest of riders where these trails are concerned, i have ridden some of them and they are totally solid and reliable. Im quite sure that there was another way around this rather than the senseless vandalism by the FC,Flag

Name: John Denholm on Jun 17, 2007Comments: Have never been to these trails but they were to feature in a future roadtrip and filming opertunity for me and some friends, Gutted the place has been ripped down, After looking at the pics and reading up on the place all I can say is its a loss to mountainbiking, We need more places like this not less, Feel especialy sorry for the trailbulders that have put so much time into the place and the kids that now dont have anywhere to ride. Good luck with sorting something out. John.Flag

All the effort and will that has gone into this project has been put to waste, over-night, by very inconsiderate and narrow-minded people. Totally OutrageousFlag
