| 825 | Anonymous | This is a very dissapointing announcement, which was made AFTER my daughter accepted WMU's offer to attend for her Doctorate. |

| 830 | Gerald C. Mertens | In my 41 year college teaching career I sent over 2 dozen graduate students to Western Michigan U. It is the best graduate program in the world. I am proud to be a friend of many of the Department faculty. Please keep the best program going as is. It would be a crime to change it. |
| 831 | Robert K. Klepac, Ph.D. | I am Treasurer, Socieity of Clinical Psychology; Past President, Society for a Science of Clinical Psychology; Presdient, Clinical Psychology Specialty Council; and Board Member - elect, Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy. I am intimately familiar with the department of psychology and its clinical program. |
| 832 | Paul Brandon, PhD | I have been a faculty member here at Minnesota State for nearly forty years.
In that time we have sent many of our students, both undergraduate and M.A. to WMU for advanced study.
We regard it as one of the premier Clinical Psychology programs in the United States.
Terminating a program of proven value and effectiveness would be a tragic loss to Michigan and to the nation, since it provides a unique service for which there is a desperate need. |
| 833 | Judah Axe | I am a PhD student at The Ohio State University. These WMU programs are models in our 4700-member Association for Behavior Analysis. Their elimination would be detrimental to our field. Please do not eliminate them. Thank you. |
| 834 | Jana Sarno | I am a 2004 graduate of the Psychology program at WMU. Through my comprehensive and high quality education in behavioral psychology, I am now pursuing my Doctorate degree in School Psychology at The University of Southern Mississippi. Thank you and save WMU Psychology Programs. |
| 835 | John H. Mabry, Ph.D. | I have reviewed the faculty list and see there the names of many prominent contributors to journals and convention presentations in my field. Several are noted for their studies in developmental disabilities. The department itself has been responsible for the erection of foundations, societies, journals which are at the forefront of treatment of disorders such as autism, and is a training resource for now several thousand therapists, each year. There are indeed many frivolous programs in our world; these are not among them. Thank you. |

| 838 | Corri Leising | Save this program!! |
| 839 | Audrey Jex | I believe that your dicision is a grave error and will be felt for years to come. |
| 840 | Jodi Schmaltz | This is one of the more disappointing decisions that WMU has made recently. If the university does not see the importance of such a vital program to the community and successful in the university, as an educator, I cannot recommend this school to any student with a good conscience. Not only has WMU not given back enough to the community, but they are taking one of the major contributors from WMU-- beware or WMU will develop a comparable reputation to NMU. |

| 844 | M Peter Scontrino, Ph.D. | The field of I-O psychology makes a true contribution to organization effectiveness as well as providing jobs for all new I-O graduates. Please do not eliminate the WMU program. |

| 846 | Norman A. Decker Sc.D. | Every thing I have learned about this plan to eliminate the program seems to reinforce the notion that it was poorly researched and will be a serious mistake. |

| 849 | Carrie Ellen (Strong) Fielder | As a graduate of WMU, with a major in psychology, I have gone on to complete course and practicum requirements for the doctoral program at the University of Southern Mississippi and am now finishing my degree by completing internship. The graduate program at WMU was an inspiration in my academic career, and its doctoral students greatly added to my learning process of behavior analysis and scientific problem solving at the undergraduate level. Without these students, a great portion of the undergraduate pogram would be comprimised, and would make me less willing to recommend a psychology major to future students. This change not only effects graduate studies, but undergraduate as well. The major of psychology is popular and would be much less attractive without the component of graduate school preparation. |
