Letters were sent recently to the PSA (Public Schools Association), Trinity College and Football West encouraging:

- proactive relationships between the schools and sporting bodies

- liaison with all parties to neutralise or minimise conflicts between matches and training schedules

- mutual allowances for the nurturing and betterment of students' pursuits of sporting excellence.

This is not a new revelation as many have travelled this road before us, however, it is becoming an increasing concern based on 2015 onwards being the first of full year cohorts of older aged students. More and more of these boys, therefore, are being selected in senior external teams.

This matter is now on the Agenda for discussion at the next PSA Meeting (early Term 4) chaired by current President Mr David Gee, Headmaster of Wesley College.

At this meeting we will present a list of parents/families who support this request. If you have a son or know a PSA student who plays soccer for an NPL team, or any sport's talent development program, where a clash in training schedules or match fixtures has occurred, or is foreseeable in the future, we would appreciate your support by placing your name, suburb and associated school on this petition.

Thank you
