Name: Joy Cartwright on Apr 4, 2007Comments: Darts, Speedway. Motor Sports, Snooker, Table Tennis, Dominoes, Parkour, Basket Ball, Football, Swimming, Archery, Rugby, Cricket, Bowls, Wrestling, Clay Shooting, Athletics, Karate, Dodgeball, Boxing, Fencing.............................. Are all of these sports Which dont belong Which do not have governing bodies I know dozens and dozens of "PROFESSIONAL" wrestlers the majority of which spend hours each week on training and gym, toning, researching and watching wrestling on tv, sunbeds not to mention the money they spend on ring attire, training, gym memberships, food to maintain their diets all of this is part of their training and dedication as "professional athletes" and "professional wrestlers". Its about time that wrestling was recognised not only as a sport but a profession and a carrer choice for 100's of people in the UK. Because their is no regulator or governing body wrestling schools and promotions are not elidgeable for any loans, grants or funding help and in most cases wrestlers are competing without insurance or health care. The other downside is any 15year old kid with the internet can book and run a show and this is an increasing problem in Lincolnshire and right across the UK. RDW have recently had several events stopped because of local autorities branding wrestling in catagories it does not belong (ig Cage Rage/ UFC) and having no governing body only makes these matters worse as there is no one to regulate and no one to stand in our corner. Local autorities are all too quick to shut down an event or charge for additional licences that are neither needed or relevant to an event but also show no interest in resolving the situation or helping build a solution or creating a regulator. Somethng needs to be done and it needs to be done now.Flag

Name: Chris Smith on Apr 5, 2007Comments: if wrestling is not a sport, that surelay makes boxing not a sport too. both are in the ring, both involve playin to crowds, both include people possibly getting killed. OF COURSE WRESTLING IS A SPORT, Its just been brought into the next century by making it more watchable to a crowd that spends most of its time watching tvFlag
