Comments: My wife and I both believe that local townships have better oversight of those functions than the counties could ever have. Townships have been doing a good job for along time on very little money. People have a personal connection with their township officials. Once it goes to the counties that will be lost and it will be much more difficult to resolve issues. With tight money counties cannot possibly hire enough people to take up the slack.

Comments: Having township government keeps things much more accessible to us, as it's more local.

Comments: One only has to see what Townships can and have achiev ed in the past 20 years to realize how efficient Township Government is. Without whopping salaries (mine is $15,000) New Buffalo Township has done wonders for their community. Let's keep government local - BIG government has literally lied to the country and messed up a lot. We know our neighbors and LISTEN to them Thanks, Agnes

Comments: Let people decide for themselves what they need at the local level and not have it dictated to them by people farther up the hierarchical food chain. Thanks.

Comments: This idea goes to the very heart of our nation's foundation. Remember when the British had taxation as an issue and a lot of tea got dumped into the harbor I want a say, at the grassroots level about some things and THIS is one of them!

Comments: Residents do not want to travel to the county governmental offices to vote and/or pay taxes. Their township offices provide a very important function in everyone's busy daily lives Definitely defeat House Bill 4780, also what else is attached to this Bill More money being sent outside of townships where the money is generated to begin with.

Comments: House bill 4780 should be rejected because the townships can handle these functions better than the county government. thank you.

Comments: This would be a big step away from representing our interests. We feel important to the township, but insignificant in the county. This is a TERRIBLE idea.
