Name: Erich Bruegmann on Jun 11, 2007Comments: My wife and I both believe that local townships have better oversight of those functions than the counties could ever have. Townships have been doing a good job for along time on very little money. People have a personal connection with their township officials. Once it goes to the counties that will be lost and it will be much more difficult to resolve issues. With tight money counties cannot possibly hire enough people to take up the slack.Flag

Name: Agnes Conway, Supervisor on Jun 11, 2007Comments: One only has to see what Townships can and have achiev ed in the past 20 years to realize how efficient Township Government is. Without whopping salaries (mine is $15,000) New Buffalo Township has done wonders for their community. Let's keep government local - BIG government has literally lied to the country and messed up a lot. We know our neighbors and LISTEN to them Thanks, AgnesFlag

Their township offices provide a very important function in everyone's busy daily lives Definitely defeat House Bill 4780, also what else is attached to this Bill More money being sent outside of townships where the money is generated to begin with.Flag
