Seeing the momentum behind this demand proves that our community refuses to accept this backroom decision. It has been a long and exhausting stretch of fighting for transparency but seeing so many of you join this effort keeps me moving forward.

The school board was wrong to increase the attendance of this new school in such an underhanded and non-transparent way. The board has a responsibility to our community, not to special interests or someone's secret agenda.
Seeing with the board is doing is disturbing for me as an educator. It doesn't take into account what the students need and is not working in their best interests. Not to mention lack of community involvement in the process.
I do not agree with the last minute changes without giving the community an opportunity to weigh in. I also support the motion to reverse the Board's decision in favor of the plan developed by the AZ Committee.
Look at what happened to Highlands. A beautiful community school that is no longer a community school. The school is bring torn apart and I can only foresee with this new plan you will see this happen again. Stop it before it starts
The LCA students should be going to Marbrook. I don't agree with the plan of putting them in Cooke, which would make the capacity at 95%. What will happen if more students come into the area, and Cooke is their feeder pattern? You'll have the same problem you have now, like at Brandywine Springs...over capacity.

It is disappointing that the Board would resort to this tactic. Kudos to Cathy Thompson for standing up for the students and families of Red Clay.
