| 103 | Katy Rowe | Universities are supposed to be non-partisan, and adding a partisan conservative think tank (the Bush Institute), especially one that the University has no oversight on, will have negative consequences. |
| 104 | Thomas Bujka | Good Show! I agree 100% |
| 105 | LC Gladden | Methodist
You would be throwing away our ethical, moral, and religious beliefs for greed and vain glory.
THIS IS NOT CHRISTIAN VALUES!!!
This is two of the deadly sins, and maybe more. |

| 107 | David Murray | I applaud this church and school for not wanting Bush's library. This man's actions are the opposite of his claimed beliefs and a slap in the face to all people. If God talked to him he surely didn't pay attention. |
| 108 | Adam F | Member, Grace UMC, Austin TX
The war goes against the Social Principles of the church. Additionally, Bush will not even speak to representatives from the Methodist church. |

Please don't let these individuals have this library on their campus. Linking up with a dying denomination would be a mistake. It would be an utter travesty to have a Presidential Library adding importance and prominence to a fading religious affiliation. Presidential libraries should be in a neutral non-sectarian environment and not tied to the diminishing future prospects of fringe religious element. |
| 117 | Anonymous | shame on bush. God will never fogive him. |
| 118 | Jennifer Geraghty | United Methodist Church |
| 119 | Tena Hollingsworth | My husband and I are alums of the SMU School of Law and we are a appalled at this. We will never give another dime to the school if this "library" is built there. It is a travesty. |

I think GWB has done impeachable things & lied to us all. |
| 124 | Did anyone ever try praying for the president? | Did anyone ever try praying for the president? |
| 125 | Stephen R. Cox | Southern Baptist: As a Christian and a follower of Jesus Christ's teachings this President has used fear and hate to lead the American People into a terrible place without regard for human life or the after effects that His actions will cause. By placing any Presidental Library on a Religous Campus is giving undo credence to their Policies and Personal Beliefs.
I would also like to place before these People pushing this Idea the question What Would Jesus Say about this? |

| 128 | Anonymous | As an SMU grad and Methodist, this is completely inappropriate. If SMU decides to associate Bush with the school it will put the "Almighty Dollar" ahead of the basic principals of decency and goodness. |

| 132 | jim & linda golfos | We are Christians who attend local Methodist churches and believe that what Bush's view of Christian life is, ...is so awful. Torturing people, incarcerating w/out representation, starting war based on lies, and simply being mean to others who may have a different view is not Christian. |
| 133 | Laura Sims | Raised Methodist. No current church affiliation |
| 134 | Tom Baker | St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Birmingham, AL
As an Episcopalian, I oppose linking the presidency with any religious organization. |
| 135 | Richard Hayner | I am a life-long Methodist, son of a Methodist minister. |
| 136 | Lala M. Smith | Member, Cokesbury UMC Knoxville, TN |
| 137 | Joy Petrusich | Grace United Methodist Church
I think George W. Bush is an abomination to our faith as Methodists. I have been born and raised into the Methodist faith my entire life and confirmed all my children in my Church as such. He does not have the same Christian grace, conscience and philosophy that I was taught and consequently taught my children along the way as good Christian believers. Nothing could be further from the truth from this Administration. They are a disgrace. Let another University and faith claim them. We should not. |

President of the congregation.
This president, who flew dangerous sorties over Texas (a little sarcasm) during the Vietnam war seems to have no memory of the way that tragedy affected the world - hence the repeat of the same type of devastation raised by an order of magnitude in Iraq.
Mr. Bush certainly needs our prayers, but his actions do not warrent him to be placed in a position of respect by any organization of any of the world's religions. |
