John B. Cobb, Jr.I found the prospects of a permanent think tank oriented to the ideas and ideals of Reagan particularly inappropriate to an institution in the traditions of John Wesley.

Ruth Anne PetrakPolicies of the George W. Bush administration run counter to the principles of the United Methodist Church. UMs reject war, do not condone torture, support human and civil rights for all, and recognize care for the environment as a sacred trust. It would be inappropriate for a UM institution to glorify the Bush presidency by hosting a library, museum and think tank.

Craig SpitzbergDallas is already known as the city where Kennedy was shot. We don't need the library of the worst president in history.
Janet FreyI am not affiliated with any church. However, I do not think that creating a permanent link between George W. Bush and the city of Dallas is in the best interest of our local culture & economy.
Todd TollefsonI was raised in a Methodist church.
craigarnoldI agree that it is inappropriate for SMU to even consider having the Bush Library there. Besides being a failure as a president, many of his actions are immoral.
Andrew GibsonChurch of the Incarnation Episcopal Church
Boyd C. LaFoonUnited Methodist- Anna, IL No Bush Library at SMU.
AnonymousAttend University Park United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas. However my membership is still at St. Paul United Methodist in Little Rock, Arkansas.
AnonymousI was raised in the Methodist church. My family has close ties to First Methodist in Houston, and SMU. Dr. Charles Allen, and Dr. Roger Deschner are not with us to voice their personal opinions on this issue, but I beleive they would agree, as do I, that it is "utterly inappropriate".
Lynda DukeFaith United Methodist Church = El Paso, Tx I too believe that connecting the Bush Library and Museum with SMU is a travesty and will ruin all future endeavors to bring more students to this university. Let George Bush go build his museum on his own property as the people are not happy with this particular president, we feel he has ruined all chances of peace on this planet.

Cory DavenportAs a soldier who has served two year-long tours in Iraq I consider the actions of many American's now to be approaching treason. Without any doubt the attacks on our mission and Commander-In-Chief undermine morale among the troops and embolden our enemies. Anyoneone with any knowledge of history and foreign policy realizes that cutting and running now will lead to a disaster far worse than the killing fields of Cambodia after Vietnam. Get behind the soldiers! Don't abandon the people of Iraq who need our help! How "Christian" is it to abandon people who will then be slaughtered!?! www.theotheriraq.com I am completely for the surge of troops as are most soldiers and REAL Americans. Stop your leftist activist abandonment of America and it's defenders!
