(1) The U.S. Veterans Administration is currently considering a proposal to build large-scale nonveteran housing on 25 or more acres with private developers. (2) Any development of this magnitude would have a negative effect on the surrounding community's infrastructures; including schools, traffic and our water and sewer system while greatly jeopardizing the property values and quality of life in South Jamaica, Queens. (3) The proposed site is currently considered a Historical Landmark and important natural habitat to the community. We the undersigned, believe that the plans by the Veterans Administration and Private Developers to build non-veterans residences and/or any development(s) not consistent with the current characteristics of St. Albans on the 25 acres would present a major threat to the health and well being of the community's economy, and would also undermine the integrity of our service men and woman.

These men and women deserve peace and quiet. Do not let these private developers in here to wreck everything.

Ridiculous. South Jamaica has enough traffic already. Stop trying to ruin our neighborhood.

Keep the land for the vets! They gave everything for us so why are we taking their space away for developers?

Total BS. The VA facilities should be for veterans only. Period.
