Daniel O'Malley | I live near the bunker hill woods and believe trees weather native or not should be preserved. There is no need to go back to historical uses since peoples view of history can be as short as yesterday or as long as the iron age.

Charlene Engle | We are losing enough trees and grass and beantiful green things in this city due to the condo building, parking lots etc. Plese leave the trees and wildlife exist as they did- before WE intruded

Elyse Hahn Awazu | "Restoring" an area to someone's idea of the past, using radical and chemical and labor intensive methods that require continuous maintenance, is simply unsustainable in the long run and a drain on our taxes and the environment.

I dont wanna see that happening!
I love to see deers before sunset, I love the walks in the woods. It's easy to cut the trees down... any idea how long to grow them? Again, this is the most stupid thing. I hope is not going to happen! |

Irene Borg | I live next to LaBaugh Woods. I would not want the trees or vegetation to be removed in any way.

MJ GARNIER | PLEASE STOP THE BURNING. THE TREES CREATE A NATURAL SANCTUARY. I DO NOT WANT MY AIR DESTROYED BY THEIR DESTRUCTION.

Brynn Birman | I am heartsick over the ravaging of the forests not only in Cook County but state and nation wide. Once cut down, a mature tree cannot be replaced in my lifetime and takes years to grow from a sapling. It makes me profoundly sad to walk in the woods and see tree stumps, herbicide, and ashes in a once natural area. I pray these ecologically unfriendly practices will be brought to a complete halt, and real nature allowed to prevail.
Elaine Lorenz | I agree with this petition and appalled that our tax money supports these agendas. Others communities are PLANTING trees to help curb global warming and this program is totally wrong for our area. Put prairies where there are no rivers.
Debra Phillips |
Lily Ann Morales | Please, stop cutting trees and the killing of wild animals. They are our neighbors.
