Name: Jeanne Christensen, RSM on Apr 22, 2010Comments: Please protect the people who are victims of drug wars in Juarez and other parts of Mexico. Innocent people are dying and US citizens who come for mission trips and to assist the people of Mexico are prevented from doing so. None are safe.Flag

Name: Perla Martinez-Goody on Apr 22, 2010Comments: Under the present circumstances, the Mexican people are at the mercy of violence and drug trafficking. In addition, these Mexican families are victims of poverty as well as the Mexican government. Many have no means to pay for travel within the country and they are also being exploited by the Coyotes on both sides of the border. I would like to see the U.S. Government grant them asylum from these horrible conditions. We are a country that believe in God and loving our neighbor. It is my prayer that we will grant our brothers and sisters in Mexico safe asylum. perla martinezFlag

Name: Sharon Chavolla on Apr 23, 2010Comments: NOW is the time to address all of the issues of immigration head on. Mexico is our neighbor. We must accept our responsibility of partly creating this situation and try to find a solution. This is a real human rights issue that is within our borders and is not going to go away.Flag

Name: Amos Becker Batto on Apr 23, 2010Comments: Since the United States is the source of the demand for illegal drugs, we as a nation have a moral responsibility to give asylum to people who are fleeing the violence caused by these drugs. The money and guns which fuels this conflict in Mexico comes from the United States, so we should at least shelter those whose lives are threatened by our bad habits.Flag
