Comments: Even the cleanest possible coal plant is a mistake for anywhere in the world. Anyone who understands how coal generation uses millions of gallons of water to make electricity, will soon realize the problem. I recommend everyone read the August Florida Trend titled "The Truth About Water in Florida". Meanwhile, advances in solar technology are closing in on the relative costs of coal vs. Solar. We should be finding ways to use the energy that delivers itself to our own back yard -- No pollution and no demand on the increasingly fragile Floridan Aquifer. HWS

Comments: This type of decision should not be made by our local government but should go to a vote of the citizens of Taylor County. I do not support this type of energy. Our money and brains should be going with wind powered plants.
