Protect our children - stop paedophilia in the Maldives

The petition

We the undersigned, being appalled at the level of child sex abuse in the Maldives, and horrified at the lenient way that child sex offenders are treated by the government of President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom; dismayed at the silence of all parties about the increase in paedophile attacks on our young children; disgusted at the way this government has failed to protect our young children from paedophiles;

Call upon the Minster of Gender & Family Aishath Mohamed Didi to ensure that our children are given the protection they need;

Urge the Gender Minister Aishath Mohamed Didi to come forward and publicly condemn the lenient sentences passed on paedophiles in recent cases;

Insist that if she cannot prevent paedophiles from being banished to other islands thereby endangering the lives of young children on those islands,

then to do the honourable thing and RESIGN FROM HER POST.
