   Comments: please continue to let Dr. Nandagopal do his good work for us. Without him I would have had a second chance to feel comfortable in my own skin. I have mobility, and can walk, and do exercises I could never do before. He has helped so many men and woman, it is not just cosmetic it is relieves back pain, embarrassing rashes that smell and is unsightly, gives more confidants. So I am asking to keep the program in to he can continue his good work, thank you.

   Comments: I am forever grateful to Dr. Nandagopal for applying for this surgery on my behalf. I lost 143 pounds and no matter how much exercise I did the copious amount of skin I had in my belly still held me back from doing this as much as my original weight did which is distressing mentally. He is a very skilled surgeon and patients should have access to such a surgeon no matter their location.

   Comments: Dr. N gave me a new quality of life when he performed my panni surgery in June of 2011. After losing 130lbs...I was unable to enjoy life due to my overhanging loose skin. I'll never be able to thank him enough and highly encourage Scarborough General to continue to allow Dr. N to perform this surgery for others in Ontario and not be restricted to only local people.

    Comments: Panniculectomy surgery needs to be made available to all who require it. It is a surgery that can be vital to a bariatric patient's physical and emotional health.

    Comments: I am a massive weight loss patient who had reparative/reconstructive surgery in the form of panniculectomy/abdominoplasty as performed by Dr Nandagopal. Without his diligence in seeking approval through OHIP, and his (and the hospital's) willingness to treat me as a patient, I potentially could still be experiencing the negative side effects of loose, flabby, irritated and infected skin.

We have unique skin issues and he understands them and works miracles for those of us who have worked hard at changing our lives for the better. Please reconsider your opinions and realize you would be effecting many more people than you could imagine.

    Comments: I am pre-surgery at the moment but expect to lose over 200 lbs. A panniculectomy will be important to my recovery--the surgery has a relatively high complications rate and I want access to the surgeon that best meets my needs, wherever they are in the province

    Comments: I cannot possibly understand why any hospital would restrict elective surgery to otherwise healthy adults unless they are being pressured by OHIP. If that is the case then the hospital needs to review their policy on transparency!
