Comments: Dr. Nanda changed my life by removing the excess skin I had after losing 150lbs. I don't live in the area - but NO ONE here would even apply on my behalf! Please allow others to have the benefit that I've had!

Comments: To limit surgery based on location of home is exclusionary and contravenes the premise of the provincial health care system. I understand not paying for transportation to a specialist, but to limit a Doctors ability to practice and treat based on this is wrong in a moral and ethical way... Not to mention the sheer lack of logic related to limiting the skill set of a talented surgeon.

Comments: I think a surgeon who does plastics should be allowed to accept patients from any district. Also, Dr. Nandagopal is a plastic surgeon who specializes in weight loss surgery skin removal, and knows the special intricacies of this type of surgery, which is rare and much needed in all areas of Ontario.

Comments: I definitely do not agree this should be restricted to those in the Scarborough area..... I myself have problems with skin breakdown and would love the opportunity to have this surgery done by Dr Nandagopal....

Comments: I had weight loss surgery Jan 2011 and have lost 188 lbs. I have a large panni and have terrible issues with rashes and infections. It was a huge decision for me to have the original surgery and just a natural close to my journey to have the excess skin removed. I researched the plastic surgeons in my area and none are as experienced in this area as Dr. Nanadagopal. This is a very important part of my journey and one I feel very strongly about. Dr. Nandagopal got OHIP approval for the panni and I have decided to have and pay for the full tummy tuck. Dr. Nandagopal is in my opinion the best in this field and that is the reason we travel to Scarborough for our surgery. I hope you do not cut this surgery from your budget, it is important to us to complete our journey with someone we trust and feel comfortable with. 3)

Comments: please don't increase the restrictions to this surgery. I know you're overwhelmed, i know there's a lot of people who need this surgery, and if you restrict to those only in your LHIN, you'll be making this already restricted surgery even more impossible to get.

Comments: Please allow this doctor to keep assisting the needs of the bariatric community. I live 3 days away from Scarborough and need this procedure done in the near future. There are NO doctors here in the far north that do this type of surgery. Thank you for your attention to our needs.

Comments: I have heard so many wonderful stories from Dr. Nandogopal's patients and hope to become one myself in the near future. I've lost 250 pounds and need am very much in need of this surgery. I can't afford any "upgrades" and must have a doctor who will perform the surgery as covered by OHIP. I live in Kitchener, so restricting surgeries to those in the Central East LHIN area would affect me directly.

Comments: Dr. Nanda is very understanding with with our type of surgery and treats us like regukar oatients and not some ward of ohip! He should be able to see patients from all over canada if the patient choses him as their surgeon. I f you are to restrict his location to where they live then all dr's should have to follow the same restrictions!

Comments: Dr. Nandogopal obviously provides a vital and necesary service that should be available to all who are willing to travel and see him. He should not be dictated to only give this service to those who live in the vicinity. I live in Scarborough but for others that may not he may be there only answer to a happier live. Don't force him to choose.

Comments: I am now close to a normal BMI after having RNY gastric bypass performed almost 10 months ago. With a starting BMI of 57 (!), I can certainly attest to the horrors of having a large amount of excess skin - most of which is located in my panus. I have extensively researched plastic surgeons and am certain that Dr. Nandagopal will be the one I want to perform my surgery. Please, don't take this opportunity away from me.

Comments: I am in London, Ontario and have lost 180 lbs. I am currently waiting to meet with Dr. Nandagopal and would be heartbroken to hear that I will be denied surgery by him due to my postal code. I am going to him because I have heard so many wonderful referrals and trust that he will do a good job and make my life better. I feel secure that he knows what he's doing and cares about his patients. I sincerely hope that his practice is not restricted and don't understand why they would do so.
