Name: Robert Cabral on Jan 23, 2012Comments: Governor Brown, I urge you to consider the ramifications of such a decision as repealing a law that protects innocent animals at risk in our states shelter system. There are millions of pet owners and animal lovers who look to this law as a shining beacon of our compassion for animals in California. When it's time to cut costs, putting innocent lives at risk is not the place to look. Best regards, Robert Cabral Bound AngelsFlag

Name: Barbara Sizemore on Jan 23, 2012Comments: You MUST give pet owners a chance to find their lost pets. If a lost pet is not reclaimed, you also need to give the animal a chance at a new home, 4-6 days, as it is, really isn't enough - but it's better than the 0 days you are considering. Please do NOT repeal the Hayden Law, these pets are living creatures and, in most cases, part of someone's famiily!!Flag

Name: Jane Wake on Jan 23, 2012Comments: Please rethink your position. The animals did not cause CA financial problems . The people and the animals need time in oder for the animals to be found and claimed. If not claimed many animals will not be given the enough time to be adopted. Thank You.Flag

Name: Vonda Roberts on Jan 23, 2012Comments: The Hayden Law provides a minimum of protection for our four-leggeds. To repeal even portions of it it would be utterly cruel and heartless. More resources should be directed to those who suffer the most, not less. That is the way to a better society, and a healthier economy. We are doing everything backwards. Please keep the Hayden Law intact.Flag

Name: Mierna Lepine on Jan 23, 2012Comments: Being in the trenches myself, the Hayden bill has saved many lives. I know you need to cut spending but speaking as a voter for you, not this. It's hard enough for some of these animals as it is. Let's not put California back into the dark age, so to speak.Flag

Name: Valerie Fausone on Jan 23, 2012Comments: Repeal of any part of the Hayden Act is a mistake and the animals will pay for it- especially at municiple shelters where they operate like it's 1950 as it is. Please leave the Hayden Act alone! The citizens and the animals and the rescues need it! PLEASE!!!Flag
