Lets take action to protect all Racehorses young and old out there from unneccessary euthanasia and injury. The aim of this petition is to make others aware that not all racehorses on the field should automatically be euthanized due to a fall or being 'pulled up'. If a horse is injured due to a break, lameness etc a veterenarian is quick to put a horse down or declare it unfit to be given a second chance. Well, what if that horse can be made fit again, maybe not enough to race, but fit enough to enjoy a happy life with gentle exercise and love. The owners of the horse may have made enough money from its winnings, so why not spend some of that horses winnings on giving him/her another chance at life. Not enough is being done to protect these beautiful, gentle giants. They do a huge job to entertain and fund this sport. Its time we gave them something back!!
