We the undersigned hereby affirm.  In light of the horrific and unimaginable incident that took place December 14, 2012 in Newton, CT at Sandy Hook elementary school.  This is proof that there needs to always be an armed police officer at the doors of every school within the city of Poquoson.  It is now time that we take the steps to assure our community that this WILL NEVER HAPPEN HERE.  As a citizen and a taxpayer of Poquoson I strongly and whole heartily feel that there is NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT than the security and safe keeping of our community's children.  Please sign this petition asking our public leaders to act immediately to provide each of our schools with an on-duty Police Officer during the hours that our children are in attendance.  In doing so, this will develop and implement a permanent plan to "Protect Our Hearts" while in the custody of Poquoson Public Schools.
