I have done 3 Team Catfish videos there and I am very concerned that the health of the adult blue catfish in Tawakoni are declining. Please pay attention to the anglers that are on the water every day before it's to late.Flag

Personnaly I would like to see both banned in all Texas lakes even though I have used them to gather fish for a community fish fry but I never leave them out like forever as some do.Flag

Name: Todd Tran on Jan 15, 2013Comments: My family goes camping at the State Park on lake Tawakoni during spring break (march) almost every year. The amount of trotline/juglines we see on the lake during that week is astounding! Probably a thousand or so. Last year Spring break, we saw a pile of catfish heads and carcuses about five feet high of ramains at the cleaning station at the state park. All were catfish. We saw a BULL DOZER was used to move the pile to the dumpster. Many of the catfish head remains was shockingly the size of a human head! I cant imagine someone eating a fish that old that may contain higher level of mercury? Some form of restriction and conservation is needed. We all will benefit if we do!Flag

Name: David Hanson Little Ds Guide Service on Jan 15, 2013Comments: I have been running trophy catfish trips on Tawokani for over 15 years as a professional guide of those years the last five have been the least productive for trophy fish I feel this is due to the over harvest of our trophy fish if the need arises for actual pictures and numbers of the past years harvest I am more than willing to help any way I can to help protect our trophy blue catfish.
