Name: Erich Wilson on Jan 14, 2013Comments: The trophy blue cat population on Tawakoni has been decimated over the past 5-6 years. Unfortunately the large fish are easy to pattern in the winter months and we have heard many reports of jug liners harvesting four to five hundred pounds daily for weeks at a time. I love catching these big fish, getting pictures and releasing them, but we are losing our fishery to the uneducated fisherman that think there are as many trophy fish as there is 2 pounders. I want my grand kids to have a shot at the trophy blues Tawakoni offers but we will soon if not already squander this great resource. Please set some limits for the harvesting of these trophy fish, thanks.Flag

Name: Brad Holland on Jan 14, 2013Comments: Not only should xtra large catfish be protected but a limit of 25 is very extreme. There should be a slot limit. I personally have decided it is better to just keep one fish around 10 pounds than keep 3 fish at 3 pounds. These fish are magnificent creatures that kind of remind me of dolphins.Flag

Name: Tim Cline on Jan 14, 2013Comments: The biggest help to the trophy blue cat fishing is stop allowing commercial harvest, trot lining and reduce jug lines to 10 jugs and only during daylight hours and the jugs must be with in eye sight while in use! Implementing a slot from 35" to 50" would help as well.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 14, 2013Comments: I feel this should be imposed on all Texas Lakes. My home lake "Proctor" suffers from over harvest of trophy cats by noodling, trot line, jug line, and rod&reel. It makes me sick to see these trophy cats retaind for bragging rights and photos and then in most cases throw out to rot.Flag

Name: Michael Lindsey on Jan 14, 2013Comments: If the state of Tx. wants to help all fishermen then why don't they impose a 2 fishing pole limit to everyone. That would help cut down on the number of fish caught also and open up some of the bank fishing area also.Flag
