Moving IBA to the field house destroys the fabric of an institution that unites this community. IBA shoud be kept in Hewett for all to see and enjoy. Last year, the IBA all-star game was a force of good in the world, raising money for Team Tobati. This success was dependent on its popularity developed by people watching it everyday. The move to the field house will destroy this popularity that can be used for good. According to the KO News' article polling the student body on their favorite sporting event, the IBA all star was third behind Hockey Night and the KITs. However, this poll, although suggestive of the all star game's popularity, fails to recognize the more important part of IBA: the fact that it provides daily entertainment and community unification after school. The argument for moving IBA is that it will give precedence to the "actual" basketball teams; however, with the new practice schedule, the varsity teams start later than they did last year (on the days they were not at the field house). JOIN WITH US AND RESTORE THE IBA TO GREATNESS.
